A song about breaking free from the constraints society has bound us with~
lyrics
It's killing me
This war inside our hearts, our minds, our souls
We will never become whole
[Never feel alive]
Bare our teeth
Fight to break away, to smash the walls
Echo thorugh the empty halls
[Left alone to die]
Flames alight
Burning through the darkness in our minds
The gears begin to turn
[It's time for us to fight]
Don't you know
You can't play with fire, our desire
Is to watch you crash and burn
Stop, locks, holding us together
Gears turn, grinding on the tether
We have, ground us in reality
Nothing is as it seems
Blinded by our own recovery
Taken to another world, we flee
We can't stand but we will fight to be free
We can break these machines
I believe
We can push on through it till the end
It doesn't have to stop today
[Never one to regret]
So we recieve
The pain inflicted, we will have to mend
But can the scars are here to stay
[Our peace is gone, we've nothing left]
Try to fly
Try to do anything at all
But trying not to fall
[And what do we get]
Raise the cry
Break away the axels in our minds
These cogs create a wall
Stop, locks, holding us together
Gears turn, grinding on the tether
We have, ground us in reality
Nothing is as it seems
Blinded by our own recovery
Taken to another world, we flee
We can't stand but we will fight to be free
We can break these machines
Soldier on
Fight until the bitter end
Break apart
Fall beside your standing friends
Burn them down
Burn them in the fires of the ages
Break from our cages
Stop, locks, holding us together
Gears turn, grinding on the tether
We have, ground us in reality
Nothing is as it seems
Blinded by our own recovery
Taken to another world, we flee
We can't stand but we will fight to be free
We can break these machines

Awesome album from start to finish. PW's destinctive style is present throughout, but every track is a fresh effort, and the album successfully transitions from driving rock to mellow contemplation without sounding forced or rehashed. I'm not as big of a fan of the remixes, but I appreciate their inclusion and unique perspective. Hard to ask for more than 16 tracks with no skips! theCANderson
